Flying Dragon Theatre was formed in 2008 by Verity Richards, an actress, writer and director.

Verity had previously written many plays for children to perform, and full length pantomime, all of which had been well received when performed.  She had also worked on revising existing texts and creating condensed play versions.  Verity is a trained actress and found this also helped to develop her writing and she then went on to set up Flying Dragon Theatre to perform new and revised texts and to create work for actors.
